The Recycling Centre and Temporary Storage Site Sol&Val Monsin is located at the heart of the industrial zone of Liege and accessible through several transportation channels: the centre has a direct link to the Maas River which is an important waterway connecting the Netherlands and France. Being located in the vicinity of the A25, the centre is easily accessible over the E40 coming from Ostend, the E42 coming from Mons and the E25 coming from Arlon.

The Biochim site in Machelen is generally known as the most polluted site in Flanders. Following a factory fire with a solvent processor thousands of litres of solvent seeped into the soil and groundwater. The joint venture Jan De Nul-Envisan was contracted early 2011 by OVAM for executing several pilot tests on this site in view of the later soil and groundwater remediation up to 4 metres below the ground. The pilot projects include: multiphase vacuum extraction, selective excavation in an enclosed environment and floating layer recovery (LNAPL).

The site was also raised with ash-containing material showing strongly increased concentrations of heavy metals. The site was remediated by order of NV Zennebroeck. The excavated soil was divided into three categories: soil that can be reused on the site, soil that must be discharged for thermal treatment and soil to be dumped.

Carcoke is the name of a cokes factory that was operational in Zeebrugge between 1900 and 1996. 
During that period English coal was converted into cokes for the steel industry. In 1975, this factory merged with the cokes factory of Marly in Brussels, which was in operation until January 1993. After the closing of both factories heavily polluted sites were left behind. It was a real challenge to remediate the dilapidated and polluted factory sites of 14 ha and 12 ha respectively and to transform them into clean, valuable sites. Envisan assisted for both sites in their complete remediation. On both sites, hundreds of thousands of m³ of polluted soil were excavated and treated. The heavily polluted groundwater is pumped up using various pumping systems and treated in complex, aboveground treatment plants.

Remediation of the former Waterford Gasworks site in order to prepare it for a subsequent redevelopment comprising a mix of redevelopment, business, commercial and leisure facilities together with basement car parking.

The remediation required the removal from site of contaminated soils which may be a potential future risk to site users, ground andsurface waters.
